Ukraine: Oil extracting companies are on the verge of halting production

According to the general director of the Association "Ukroliyaprom" Stepan Kapshuk, some oil extracting companies in Ukraine are on the verge of halting production. According to market participants, Ukrainian railroad has banned without any warning transportation in the railroad's own cars of sunflower meal/cake and sunflower hulls to the Baltic states and the CIS.
As a result, delay in exports of sunflower meal/cake and thus their excessive accumulation can lead to overcapacity of the storage aread, and, as a consequence, halting of the production. Moreover, banning transportation in the railroad's own cars of sunflower meal/cake will lead to failure in fulfilling international contracts for the supply of sunflower meal/cake and sunflower hulls to the buyers.
